Perform a first line and second line function within the COE with particular focus on yet not limited to the Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortigate Tipping Point and Ironmail product suites. |
Are you a bit bored in your current role? Are you looking for a challenge? Look no further, my client is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join their every expanding team.
You will be responsible for the following: - Perform Remote Support. - Manage security related incidents for the applicable customers. - Responding to Client requests. - Call/Problem resolution and Troubleshooting from start to finish. - System Maintenance and executing scheduled tasks. - Report writing. - Change Control Administration. - Project work as a resource. - Reporting.
Main Duties: - Performing Daily System Health Checks. - Consistent Monitoring of the systems to proactively pick up issues. - Attend to and Complete Service Request within SLA times. - Close SR's with detailed resolution. - Taking ownership of issues and ensure that 2nd line is aware of these.
Understand and Follow set processes: - Change Control is adhered to as per the Change Control procedure. - Follow Escalation Procedure as documented. - Provide and Complete Incident Reports within SLA time. - Adhere to Target Dates that are set for any item internal to the team or with the client. - General system administration. - Updating System Documentation. - Delivering Baseline Reports. - Baseline to match System Configuration. - Update and keep the Client Site Documentation current as communicated by the Technical Leads.
Communication: - Provide regular feedback. - Provide Accurate information on failures, incidents and updates. - Escalate issues as per SLA.
Educational Requirements: - Good networking understanding.
Training and Certification in several of the security technologies being supported By clients security: - Fortigate - Juniper - Bluecoat - Cisco (CCNA minimum) - Checkpoint - Mcafee - TippingPoint - At least 3 to 5 years networking and security experience
Personal Attributes: - Team-player. - Pro-active person. - Good interpersonal and communication skills. - Self-motivated. - Able to work within a highly pressurized environment. - Attention to detail. - Excellent reporting skills. - Overtime will be required from time to time.
